She started her pianist career by winning prizes in Youth contests, and at the age of 14 she gave her first full solo recital.
She became a prizewinner at M.K Ciurlionis International Piano Competition (Vilnius 1986, 1991). Y.K.A.A. International Piano Competition (Oberlin, USA 1991), and she were recognized to be the best at N. Rubinstein International Piano Competition in Paris (1999) and were awarded Grand Prix.
Aleksandra Zvirblyte has completed her studies at Lithuanian academy of Music and postgraduate studies at the famous P.Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow.
She studied with renowned teachers as Lev Vlasenko, Mikhail Pletniov, Nikolai Suk, Olga Steinberg.
Over the years she has performed in all the major cities and towns of Lithuania, in St. Petersburg, Moscow, Lvov, in Latvia, Bulgaria, Denmark, France, Finland, Poland, Germany, Ukraine, Switzerland, USA.
She has performed with the Lithuanian Chamber, the Lithuanian National Symphony, the Kharkov Philharmonic, the St.Petersburg Conservatory Symphony, the Bulgarian Conservatory Symphony and other orchestras under direction of Saulius Sondeckis, Gintaras Rinkevicius, Juozas Domarkas, Robertas Servenikas, Mindaugas Piecaitis, Alvydas Sulcys, Pavel Berman, Christo Christov, Aleksei Kolobuchin, Oliver Weder and others.
Aleksandra Zvirblyte is also playing a lot of chamber music with such performers as Inesa Linaburgyte, Liubov Chuchrova, Algirdas Budrys, Dalia Stulgyte, Mindaugas Gecevicius, Algirdas Verbauskas Pavelas Giunteris,Veronika Vitaite , Oleg Molokojedov and others.
She is participating in prestigues music festivals in Lithuania, France, Denmark.
In Lithuanian radio is over 100 recordings of Aleksandra Zvirblyte and she also have her own CD/MC.
Aleksandra Zvirblyte is a first performer of many new pieces of Lithuanian composers.
She divides her time between the life of a concert pianist and a job at the Lithuanian Academy of music, where she is working as Associated Professor in Piano Dept.
Her students have been winning prizes in more than 50 international piano competitions in Lithuania, Italy, France, Finland, Ukraine, UK, Greece as well as they have concerts in same countries as soloist or with Orchestra.
Aleksandra Zvirblyte is also holding master classes in Lithuania and abroad as well as she is a jury member of intl. Piano competitions in Lithuania and abroad.
